Getting Smart Town Halls
Our regular Town Halls create space to collaboratively design, discuss and discover what’s next in learning. Our time together will help to build collective momentum and understanding, make us more aware of what the field needs next, and it better enables us to empower every learner to thrive and act with purpose.
Each month, Getting Smart hosts a town hall on a selected topic. During this collaborative time, attendees have the opportunity to learn, connect and ask questions about the future of learning.
Do you have a topic you’d love to see covered? Email Mason or tweet us @Getting_Smart using the hashtag .

What on Earth is a Metaverse? The Next Frontier of Engaging and Learning
May 12th, 2022 | 10 a.m. PT
On this Getting Smart Town Hall we’re entering the metaverse… or at least, we’re talking about it. Chances are, you’ve seen a lot about the metaverse in the last six months. You’ve also probably heard a lot of other terms at the same time… NFTs, block chain, crypto, Web 3. We’re hosting this town hall to talk through what these terms mean and, more specifically, what they mean for the future of learning.
Much of this will be speculation and hypothesis but we can’t wait to have you along for the journey through realities old, cash slots and imagined.
